I just finished a necklace and earring set for my Mother (for Mother's Day) but I'm not sure I want to hand them over. I'm kind of in love. Is it really bad if I just wear the set around for a few days before boxing it up and giving it to her?

LOVE the set you made your mom!! I once bought my mom a shirt in Thailand but wore it home on the plane because it was the only clean thing I had, so I say wear the earrings for a couple days =) I'm going to scraplift your "here now today" page, that's a great idea!
