  • Journal Quilt Class
    at The City Quilter (NYC)

A journal quilt is a small (8.5x11”) quilt that you make to document an event in your life, an emotion that you are feeling, a time of year, something you would like to remember, or maybe just a new technique. The goal is to experiment, explore, and have fun in a no-pressure environment. Come and learn how to transform your day-to-day experiences into art quilts. Each class will offer both a new technique and tips on design. All levels welcome.

    Either 12-2pm or 6-8pm on Fridays January 22, February 19, March 12, and April 2, 2010.

Many art journaling techniques can be used in card making, scrapbooking, mixed media artwork, and even fiber art. In this introduction to the process of art journaling we’ll cover all the basics from supplies to techniques. You’ll leave with at least one completed page and inspiration and know how to help you keep creating for months to come!

I love this post! It amazes me how people (true artists) get their inspiration ... how they see a photo differently. It helps me to learn to look beyond the obvious. Thanks!

Michelle

Love this peek inside your artist brain! So neat to see how you see a scrapbook LO in everything.

Doilies and push pins is so cool!
I also like the sketch that you came up with from looking at the kitchen setup. Thank for sharing how you get inspiration from one blog.
