I wanted to share a bit about a special class I'm going to be teaching with my friend, Nat, here in NYC. But first, two publication notes:
I am so excited to see my layout on the cover of the latest issue of Crafting Ireland Magazine:
And I have the great honor of being profiled in the current issue of Scrap Art Zine!
I feel extremely lucky to have my name of the cover of two different magazines! Pretty darn exciting, if you ask me!
Mixed Media Circus is two days of crazy painty fun and we've got students coming from Germany (of course), Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain! (We're only taking sign-ups for Mixed Media Circus until September 30, so if you want in, sign-up NOW!)
Well, we got some plaintive e-mails from some USA girls wishing that they could join in the fun, but feeling that Germany was a bit too far.
Sadly, we can't bring the whole circus to NYC. But, we are going to bring just a taste, with a twist.
Nat and her husband are coming to the tri-state area for a vacation, but I'm going to put her to work! On Saturday, October 22 she and I will be teaching a super cool all-day workshop (10am-5pm, with a one-hour lunch break) here in NYC!
Use this book as an art journal, scrapbook, or simply a beautiful reference for all of the cool techniques you’ll learn using gesso, gel medium, acrylic paint, and PanPastels. These are some of our favorite supplies and we’ll teach you our favorite techniques using them! We’ll create texture, play with simple resist techniques, and experiment with paint! Not only will we share tons of techniques with you, but we will go over all sorts of useful information about these products and give you some easy do’s and don’ts for when you head home!
If you're a technique junkie then this is the class for you! Learn to push your supplies further and do more with less. Plus Nat and I are quite the comedy duo -- so there's sure to be entertainment aplenty!
Class will be held in a private studio on the Upper West Side. We will send you the address when you register.
Please note that we are only taking twelve students. (And I happen to know two girls have already booked their plane tickets from North Carolina, they're so excited to see Nat in person -- she really is a wonderful teacher. So only ten spots left.)
The cost for the class is $85.

Hope to see you there!
P.S. I recorded an episode of the Paperclipping Roundtable podcast this week. The topic is scrapping your parents/in-laws. Let me know what you think!
