I am addicted to pinning things on Pinterest. I can't help myself. It's just too much fun. Today I thought I'd share a few of my favorite things that I've pinned recently:
Sabrina Ward Harrison can do no wrong in my eyes. I love everything that she does. Her effortlessly artistic style and wonderfully wonky lettering make me so happy!
I love the colors and aggressive brush strokes in this painting from Matt Sesow.
I am a huge fan of folk art. I love the lettering and the character in that face!
I think that Barbara Gilhooly is amazing! A lot of her work is based in circles.
I love the combination of writing and the silhouette. It's almost like the words are the man's thoughts flowing behind him.
The color, the squashed face, the collaged elements -- I just love the simplicity of this piece.
Max Beckmann will always be one of my favorite artists of all time. This is one of his many self-portraits.
I like the ambiguity of this piece. Four identically dressed girls? One girl in several iterations? Their faceless nature lets you fill in the story.
I believe that the artist, Michele Meister, referred to this piece as "Homesickness tea and other remedies." I'm a big fan of tea and I love the idea of tea bags that hold the cure to so many ills.
How can you not love this piece? I like the style of painting, the depth of emotion, and the humor!
Sigh. Embroidered and stitched jewelry. I dream of making things like this.
I have absolutely no words for how fabulous this piece is! I love the reclaimed wood and the funky face. Total pefection.
So, there you have it. A quick run down of some of my favorite recent pins. How about you? Are you addicted to Pinterest?
Thanks for stopping by!
