Ooops! Apparently I had the wrong link yesterday. This is the correct link to LifeBook: http://bit.ly/LifeBook2017. Thank you!
I was in New York last month and I just *had* to go and visit MoMA (the Museum of Modern Art). Much of the museum was off limits for exhibit installations. But what we did see was compelling.
I was so impressed with the final exhibit (last photo above -- no photos allowed in the exhibit) that I bought the exhibit catalog. You can read a bit about Bruce Conner and see some images from the exhibit in this NY Times review of the exhibit.
Speaking of buying things, the M0MA gift shop is one of my favorite places to explore. This time around, I particularly liked these items:
- Fortune Cakes: Reusable silicone cupcake liners that have a fortune at the bottom. I thought they were a super fun idea!
- Folded Paper Animal Calendars: I thought these might be a fun DIY project. Simply, cut out the same animal twice, stamp a calendar on one side, and glue the tops of the two animals together. Done!
- Sugar Spoon: I thought this was just such clever design! A sugar skull on a sugar spoon.
But, I didn't buy any of that. What I did buy is this amazing superhero pop-up book (I had to take a video so that you could see the pop-ups in action!):
Hope you enjoyed this little trip to the museum!
Thanks for stopping by!
