Just Let Me Scrapbook - New Projects!

I wanted to share my most recent creations for Just Let Me Scrapbook. Can I tell you that this is such a *great* design team! I love being able to choose my own products and Mary Beth (the store owner) is so very warm and kind. Not to mention, her prices are FAB with lots of sales all the time and her taste is so very spot on to my own! So, without any further ado, here you go:

I've started doing quite a bit of hybrid scrapbooking lately. I created the journaling block (well, the lines) in Microsoft Word, printed them out and then trimmed the cardstock to fit the page.

The paper with the black scrolls is actually white and black, but I used colored pencils to make it all flow a bit more. I also can't stop inking the edges of all of my photos. I just love the way it looks! By the way, does anybody recognize that grid paper? I cut off the ID strip and now I can't remember who the manufacturer is. Any help is much appreciated!

This is a Christmas gift for a friend of mine. She doesn't read this blog, so I think it will be a nice surprise. I cut the head out of a photo of her daughter and created this altered canvas. It contains one of my all time favorite Shel Siverstein quotes:

“Listen to the mustn'ts, child. Listen to the don'ts. Listen to the shouldn'ts, the impossibles, the won'ts. Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me... Anything can happen, child. Anything can be.”

What a wonderful thought for the day!
