Round and Round and Round we Go!
January 22, 2008
Another stellar crop at Cheryl's office! I rolled into the crop sometime between noon and 1pm. I got home around 5am. This is definitely not normal behavior! I thought I'd share a very fun crop game we played: The Group Page. There are six steps:
1. Everyone chooses a background paper (patterned or cardstock) and photos (as many as you want). You write your name and the title of the page on the back of the background paper. You then pass this to your left.
2. Onto what you've just been handed, you add to the background. You can put down photo mats, color block, add strips of patterned paper, whatever you'd like. You do not glue down the photos. You then pass this to your left.
3. Onto what you've just been handed, you glue down the photos wherever you'd like. You may only add a photo mat and photo. That's it! You then pass this to your left.
4. Onto what you've just been handed, you create a space for journaling and add the title (looking at what the owner of the layout -- from step one -- wrote on the back). You then pass this to your left.
5. Onto what you've just been handed, you embellish. In whatever way you see fit. You then pass this to your left.
6. Onto what you've just been handed, you add the finishing touch (stitching, a brad, whatever).
That's it! Everyone now has a collaboratively created layout! You can see each of us posing with our finished layout in the photos below:
I thought it was an hilarious experience! It was so fun to see how somebody else (or several somebodies) scrapped my photo. I had previously scrapped that photo (twice actually -- that's how much I like it) here:

Switching gears for a moment, I thought I'd share four quilt squares I finished on Friday:
They're for my Dear Jane quilt, which is going to be red, purple, green and yellow. Kind of shockingly bright. There are 225 unique patterns in the quilt and I am about half way through. I figure I'll finish it up in a few years! LOL! Actually, my goal is to get through the bulk of it by the end of this one...so we'll see!
Thanks for stopping by!
