I'm not an enormous fan of Valentine's Day. Don't get me wrong, I sure like to get a present, but it does feel a bit arbitrary. Perhaps that's why I like to make my valentines rather than buy them. I think that there's something about taking the time to make a valentine or a Valentine's Day related project that really expresses the true emotion of the day. I the proceeded to run around the apartment after I found out, jumping in the air and going "Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee." The team is absolutely *amazing* and I know you'll want some linkage. You can... Right at Home Scrapbooking is a fabulous scrappy store in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. When I heard they were having a design team call, I knew that I had to apply! Here's part of my application: "Right at Home holds a special place in my heart. I accidentally discovered scrapbooking at an AC Moore. I rapidly became obsessed with the hobby and went online looking for information. I stumbled into the world of cyber boards and learned about a thing called "a local scrapbooking store." I knew that I had to find one, and Right at Home was the one I... Read more →

1. This made me smile today... 2. Here's a fun little accordion album I made at a crop a week or two ago. Lots of family photos from Christmas (thus the red/green theme). 3. This is a cool tutorial on making tiny little notepads out of matchbooks. 4. My recent classes at The City Quilter were *amazing* and filled with wonderful women who have such cool stories to tell. One of my students, Sandy, made this very cool origami photo cube as part of Project Fifty-Two. She was kind enough to bring it to class so that I could see,... Read more →
