Right at Home...Circles
April 21, 2009
This month is all about circles. It wasn't intentional, but I clearly have circles on the brain. The fabulous Mother-Daughter owners of Right at Home Scrapbooking in North Attleboro, MA, sent me two gorgeous collections from My Mind's Eye: Bella Bella and Bloom & Grow. Here's what I made:
I recently bought the famed "threading water" (the scallop border) punch and it is seriously addictive. Technically, this layout is hybrid because the two photos at the bottom were printed together on a single 4x6 piece of photo paper.
On this layout, I used a very thin coat of gesso. I love the whitewash it creates. It just sort of blends everything together.
I did this layout at Portrait Bug, where they have a typewriter. The ribbon needs to be replaced, but I dig the look of it. Someday, when I have a ton of space, I want to have a typewriter. It just looks so cool!
I went a little crazy with the machine stitching here. The flowers are cut from another piece of patterned paper.
Tomorrow, I will have a little video tutorial for you in honor of Earth Day! And I wanted to share a cute little postcard I made for one of my theatre company's spring shows:
Thanks for stopping by!
