Sultane: Psychédélik (take 2)
April 06, 2009
Well, I sat down and created some more layouts with the paper I designed for Sultane! I learned a lot about designing paper by playing with the papers a bit more...mostly that it's inevitable that however a scrapper scraps is how they'll design paper. I mean, I use a ton of paint and stuff on my pages, so my papers reflect that feeling. Take this layout below...
All I did was adhere my photo, paint the scalloped frame, and add my title and journaling. So easy! And yet because of the patterned paper it feels like a complex and arty layout. Same idea on the layout below...
It's really a very simple layout, but because the paper is so complex, it creates a rich effect. As for the layout below...
...it's no surprise that I created paper with circles. I'm obsessed with circles as of late! You can see that I enhanced the dotted circles with patterned paper ones. And here's the last one...
The paper collection includes little strips that have the petals for these flowers printed on them and you cut them apart. They didn't come out 100% the way I had envisioned, but I think they're pretty funky cool. And they have the look of having been painted and stamped over and over, which I love!
Unfortunately, I still don't have any idea of when these papers will be available in North America. But, I will be sure to post when I do!
Thanks for stopping by!
