CHA is Coming Fast!
July 22, 2009
CHA starts next week! Woo Hoo! I can hardly wait! I'm multi-tasking while I'm there:
- I'm staying with Kim, the owner of Portrait Bug, and will walk the show floor with her.
- I've promised Cathy, the owner of Label Tulip, that I'll take photos for her since she's not going to make it there in person.
- AND, (this is my big news) I'll be hosting some interviews/project segments for Scrapbook Memories TV (PBS) with some of my favorite scrapbook designers! That's right, hosting! Eeek! I'm so excited! I can hardly stand it! (Totally throwing up nervous too, but we're far enough away that it's mostly excitement!)
In the meantime, I thought I'd share some of the products that I'm most interested in seeing up close and personal:
Paper Tape from 7gypsies. They describe it as, "Think masking tape, the coolest masking
tape you've ever worked with in all kinds of colors and printed
patterns to choose from." I can't wait!
The Amber Road Collection from Pink Paislee has me panting. The papers are double sided. And all the embellishments have that cool vintage-y vibe! I love the stamps and I want to see the whole thing up close and personal!
I think these slightly wonky and very fun stamps from American Crafts are way cool. I love almost anything with that hand drawn look. My favorites are the two frames. Divine!

Do you see those brads?! Swoon. They are the most adorable things ever! They're from Sassafrass Lass's new Monstrosity collection. I can't wait to the see the full reveal!
There are about a thousand things from Prima that look absolutely delicious, but I'm jonesing for these flowers most of all! I'm obsessed with anything that is made from book pages or has print like that on it, so I want to play with these ones wicked bad. Imagine how they'll look once they're covered in ink and paint! Yay!
How fabulously folk art is this collection from Crate Paper? It's called "Season" and the full reveal is here. It's not colors that normally attract me, but I love the wonky circles and hand drawn feeling of absolutely everything!
Maya Road has divine kraft colored products coming out, including these tags. They also have some adorable little scallop edge envelopes, fabulous flowers and cool trim.
I'm imagining all the possiblitlies of this filmstrip ribbon from Tim Holtz. It is too, too cool. I want to see it in person and figure out what it's really like! But, I think I'm about to fall in love!

I'm going to order about a gallon of this CLEAR crackle paint from Ranger. That's not hyperbole. A gallon. Because it's clear, you paint it over anything at all and get HUGE cracks! Cool, cool, cool! I'm just giggling to myself like an insane person while I'm thinking about it! There's a beautiful project photo if you click the link.
Finally, if you're interested in the business end of CHA, visit this site, to get the skinny on which companies are folding, no-showing, selling, etc. Lots of interesting information plus links to all the available sneak peeks.
Have a great day!
