I Made Christmas Cards

Prima Holiday Project

We are on a jet plane flying across the country.  I've set the blog to auto-publish while I'm away for the holidays!  Just a few posts over the next few days so that things aren't totally dead around here!  Our family celebrates both Christmas and Hannukah.  Happy holidays to you, whatever you are celebrating!

How about a festive project for the holidays?  I made a ball of flowers (apparently called a kissing ball) for Prima, and I've displayed it two ways.  First up, I simply took a piece of Prima lace and strung it through the gold loop of the ball:

A big bow and it's all set.  It looks a lot better in person than in this photograph.  In fact, I hated the photograph so much, I decided to try displaying the ball another way - as a centerpiece:

I just stuck it in a square vase with some clear pebbles, Prima flowers and that fabulous Prima bird!  Holiday centerpiece in no time at all!  I love the contrast of the orange flowers with the blue ball!  For lots of ideas on decorating with Prima products check out this post on the Prima blog.

Bookclosed PS: Remember my fabric journal cover with the paint rag beads?  The one I made for my awesome scrappy journal class: Remains of the Day?  (I put a photo at the left to jog your memory.)  Check out some of my classmates beautiful versions here.  So inspiring to see the different textures and colors and styles.  I also love the innovative closures - beads, pen holders, so many smart choices!

Thanks for stopping by!
