Kenner Road: April Reveal!
Make a Bag from a Paper Envelope

Prima + Tattered Angels

Prima and Tattered Angels have teamed up for the day!  Here's what I did with a mixture of the two companies' products:

This is currently one of my recent faves.  I just adore the color explosion and the ruffles along the edge.  Here are some peeks at the details:

I took a Tattered Angels journaling card and cut it into a bracket shape.  A bit of gesso and some Glimmer Mist and a beautiful new journaling card was born!

Prima's white flowers are amazing to color.  All of the flowers on this layout started their lives as plain white flowers.  They take the color beautifully and even though they're paper, they don't fall apart or lose their lovely wrinkles and creases!

I cut the paper ruffles by hand and misted them.  When they dried, they curled up.  I decided I liked the dimension and didn't bother to try and flatten them out.  Here's a pic of them drying before I stitched them to the layout (perfect in their imperfection):

I took a few more process photos too!  Here's the background paper in two steps:

And an early version of the layout:

It wasn't quite right.  Fine, but not what I wanted it to be.  So I put it aside and came back the next day and voila!  I was able to make it what I wanted it to be!

Which version do you prefer?

And here's my second project:

The background paper was made by pressing a plain piece of white cardstock over those scallop strips pictured above.  This is just the excess ink I blotted off.  I love the way it looks!

I painted the title with watered down acrylic paint.

The tags are cut up bingo cards and patterned paper misted with lots of color!

Thanks for stopping by!
