October Build-a-Page
October 21, 2010
Prima's October Build-a-Page is here! Check out the sketch:
The background paper is my very favorite Prima paper ever, which I am hoarding as it is now out of print.
I layered a hand cut scallop strip with a border punched scallop strip. I like the combination of perfect and imperfect.
I'm getting more into the idea of "hiding" elements. You can see the butterfly page pebble just sticking out from behind the flower.
I cut this journaling spot and the surrounding flowers from a piece of patterned paper and then fed it through my typewriter.
To create the bracket shape, I traced a Crafter’s Workshop template. There wasn’t enough contrast with the doily, so I inked the edges with Old Paper Distress Ink. It's subtle, but it helps the shape to pop.
If you feel inspired by the sketch, you can create a layout using Prima products and be entered to win a Prima prize pack! Details are here.
