The Eyes Are the Window to the Soul

I did this painting in my art journal last week:

Man, does she look evil and mean or what?

But I decided to let it go.  After all an art journal is not about pefection. 

Um.

But I just couldn't let it go.

A few days later I decided to give her some plastic surgery -- an eye lift.  I gessoed out her existing mean eyes and put in some new ones!

Much friendlier, don't you think?

And here's the finished page:

She still has some issues (and a wonky small eye), but at least she's not glaring at me anymore!  Whew!
