On Confidence and Creating
Art Journal Every Day: From Scrapbooking to Art Journaling?

Notes on a Thursday

Happy Thursday!  I've got a few things to share today....

Designer Crafts Logo Final You may recall that I participated in the Sizzix Blog Hop last Fall with more than sixty other designers.  Well, a few of those designers decided that they wanted to stay in touch.  We formed a new group.  If you look in the farthest right column of this blog you can see the logo for the "Designer Crafts Blog Connection."  (Note that the logo on the left is just a .jpg and is not clickable.)  There's a full list of the 36 designers' blogs here.  Or you can click the "hop forward" and "hop back" links to flip through the hop.

Today, each of the participants is supposed to post some thoughts about CHA and the trends they saw.  I honestly did not see enough of the show to have anything of value to add to the conversation.  But, in honor of our first group post, you can win a Cricut Expression by hopping through the circle of designers!! And you might learn some fun things along they way!  See all the details on Julie McGuffee's blog.

My next Live with Prima class is on Monday!

Travel Pocket Journal
Monday, March 7 at 8pm EST

Instead of scrapbooking the vacation after the fact, why not scrapbook the vacation along the way?  In this class Julie will show you how to create an amazing album full of pockets!  Pockets that are perfect for storing all the things you collect on a vacation – ticket stubs, brochures, receipts, etc.  We’ll even add journaling cards for each day of your trip so that all you need to do is bring along a pen!

If you've never been to a Live with Prima broadcast...

  • It's completely FREE and online at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/primaflower
  • During the live show you can chat with other students and ask me questions!
  • You have the opportunity to win a prize pack of free Prima supplies if you attend the class!
  • If you can't make it, you can watch the show at any time.  They're all recorded.

Here are some images of the journal when it's all closed up:

I'll be sharing how to create a super easy binding with washi tape!  I hope to see you in class!

And finally, a little peek into my art journal:

Thanks for stopping by!
