It's Sew Easy Student Artwork
April 27, 2011
I wanted to share some of the beautiful mixed media stitch artwork that's my It's Sew Easy students have been making! It's a great group of talented ladies. Some who have just bought their very first sewing machines. Some who have been sewing for years. Some who feel really comfortable with all the paint and doodling. And some who are brand new to a mixed media way of thinking! I love the mixture!
Our first project was a stitched banner using hand painted papers. This is my example:
And here is a garland from Jeanette:
And one from Emy:
Lynn was super clever and made a banner from hands and shoes:
Lisa was a sewing demon:
You can see lots more pics on their blogs, linked above.
Our second project was these fun tags:
Sue made all of these:
Rachel whipped up these cuties:
Lisa got girly with a big beautiful flower:
Sharon chose amazing colors for her beautiful tags:
And next we stitched up some stuffed hearts!
Lisa incorporated worry dolls (and a great saying on the other side):
Expert seamstress Lois even did some embroidery!
And Lynn made her heart lovely with bright colors:
Fabulous hand painted pillow covers came next.
This is Bonnie Rose's:
And one from Sue Wheeler:
This cool little alphabet clutch was next!
Sue Swanson went with a musical theme:
And Bonnie Rose made a credit card sized pouch and added a ruffle:
So many talented people with so many wonderful ideas! This is just a small sampling of the wonderful projects these ladies have produced! I can't wait to see what the next few weeks bring!
Thanks for stopping by!
