Art Journal Every Day: December Daily Art Journal 1

ArtJournalEveryDayLogo-150 If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, all the posts can be found here.  Please read this post first.  There is a flickr group for sharing right here.  Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day!  No need to finish anything or even like it.  Just play! Linky list for December is right here.

As I mentioned in a previous post, memory guru Ali Edwards is once again running her December Daily project.  Essentially she encourages people to build a foundation of pages for a mini album and then add in photos, ephemera, and journaling for each of the days leading up to Christmas.

Well, as those of you who art journal every day know, this is pretty much what we do every single day!  So I figured I'd share my daily December entries this month and call them my December Daily Art Journal!

(P.S. Is it weird to have a P.S. in the middle of a post?  Regardless, I just want to say to all of you who are thinking about Project Life for 2012 that it's a sister idea to Art Journal Every Day.  Much as the December Daily and Art Journal Every Day overlap, so do Project Life and Art Journal Every Day.  Project Life encourages you to capture all the photos, memorabilia and little snippets from your daily life in page protectors.  Art Journal Every Day encourages you to do the same thing, but without the page protectors and photos - though you could use photos.  Something to think about as you plan for 2012.)

I'm currently working in my ginormous watercolor moleskine.  It's 11.75 x 16.5 inches when closed and when open it's 11.75 x 33 inches.  Ginormous.

I completed one full spread for the first seven days of December:

P.S. I recorded an episode of the Paperclipping Roundtable podcast this week.  The topic was "the future of scrapbooking."  Take a listen and let me know your own thoughts on the topic.

P.P.S. The December Artisan Add-On Kit from Jenni Bowlin contains the Balzer Designs 6x6 Punchinella Stencil!
