Art Journal Every Day: A Page-in-Progress
February 17, 2012
If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, all the posts can be found here. Please read this post first. There is a flickr group for sharing right here. Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day! No need to finish anything or even like it. If you've done some art journaling this week and you've blogged about it, or put it on flickr, please leave a link in the linky list at the end of this post. Thanks!
I have to confess that I have been very unfocused lately. I can't seem to finish anything. I get started, but it doesn't seem to resolve into finished artwork.
This is the spread I'm currently working on in my art journal:
It definitely feels very empty and unfinished to me. But I don't feel super inspired to go any further right now. And that's okay. That's part of how I'm working these days -- slowly, over time, and with layers. I'm sure the page will evolve over time. I need to give it some space to breathe.
Check out some of the details:
The face is based on a Marc Jacobs ad.
I think I captured the feeling of the ad, if not the model's face accurately.
The next time I update this page I'll be sure to share.
How about you? Have you done any art journaling this week? Feel free to share your page-in-progress.
Thanks for stopping by!
