In this class I will show you how to make your own gorgeous "papers with personality" using stamps and stencils.  The emphasis is on working in layers, understanding water solubility, color mixing, and creating pleasing compositions.  I will also share how to make your own totally fabulous handmade tape.  We will use that tape to bind a hand-bound-no-sew-pocket-filled journal!  That's right!  You can make this gorgeous book with absolutely no sewing!  Got to love that!  There are six front facing pockets that hold long cards for journaling.  And one side facing memorabilia pocket in the front.

Students Should Bring: 5 Sheets of Watercolor Paper cut to 12x12 , 6 pieces of non-textured white cardstock cut to 4x8.5 , Paper Trimmer, Scissors, Tape Runner, the widest Masking Tape you can find, Gesso, Bristle Paintbrushes (large flat, medium round, small round), Jar or Container for Water, Teflon Craft Sheet (important to have this non-stick surface!), Scor-It (or a bone folder, ruler, and mouse pad   you need a way of scoring paper), Favorite Stencils, Favorite Stamps (bolder/blockier stamps work best), Waterproof Black Stamping Ink (I recommend StazOn by Tsukineko or Archival Ink by Ranger), Spray Ink (I like Adirondack Color Wash), Acrylic Paint (any brand, any type, 3-6 colors), Cosmetic Sponges, Paper Plate (to act as a paint palette), Ribbon (to close your book)

Optional: Heat Gun, extension cord and/or power strip
