The Weekend Five: 36 Hours in New Jersey
March 24, 2013
This week I went on a secret crafty adventure to New Jersey. I couldn't take any photos of what I was doing, so I came home with a phone full of "boring" photos. But, you know, each one has a story.
Food photos get taken at almost every single meal I eat and most of them end up in my Project Life. It's actually kind of amazing to me how looking at a photo of what I ate brings back so many memories of the moment. I hated this breakfast. Everything was gross. A big disappointment.
I'm so used to the noise of living in Times Square that I didn't realize there was a highway outside my window until I opened the curtains in the morning! That made me laugh!
I take selfies in virtually any mirror I can find all day long. I posted this story on instagram and facebook: For this particular shot, I was in the hotel elevator with a man. When I turned towards the back of the elevator to take the photo, he reacted very weirdly. I tried to explain that I was a scrapbooker and it just didn't seem to make the situation any better. Luckily it was a short ride!
I generally don't drink. But I splurged on a cocktail. Definitely a moment that needed to be recorded for posterity. (Don't you love the shadows on the table?)
I might be a six-year-old. Or at least I'm a total goof ball. I texted this photo to my Mom when she asked if I was having fun. I thought it answered the question!
I am reminded that this collection of little stories is the reason I started scrapbooking. They're the main reason that I'm Project Life obsessed. Because none of these photos are really "pretty enough" to scrapbook, but I know they'll find a home in my Project Life album. And the stories I've shared today will all be included and safely tucked away. I love that!
Thanks for stopping by!
