Airport Character Sketches
October 28, 2013
This weekend I traveled to and from Charlotte, North Carolina. I will share lots of photos from the event later in the week. Today I want to share the sketches I did in the airport. I did one while waiting for my flight in NYC and one while waiting for my flight in Charlotte.
The close-up images are actually larger than the original drawings!
I love creating these little character sketches and I love looking back at them. The act of drawing (even a wildly inaccurate drawing) requires you to really carefully observe your subject. I have found that that kind of observation truly embeds a memory. Flipping back through my sketchbook, I can recall so many details that aren't in those drawings. Pretty cool.
Thanks for stopping by!
