Hanukkah and Thanksgiving are colliding today! It's a phenomenon that won't happen for another 70,000 years! Both Thanksgiving and Hanukkah are holidays of gratitude. With Thanksgiving coming, I got the idea of creating a place card stamp. And then I created several place card variations... I'm not sure I'd have the patience to make the cut version for a large dinner party, but for a few people, it's worth the time and effort. :) Place cards are actually one of my favorite things to make. So, I took that abstract (painting #20)... ...and I painted right over the top of it: I love that you can still see peeks of the underpainting through the petals and leaves. DUMBO is an area of Brooklyn. The acronym stands for "Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass." It's a beautiful area that I recently had the opportunity to explore. New York City is filled with fun adventures and new places to explore. I'm always amazed at how little of the city I've actually seen after fourteen years of living here.
