Art Journal Every Day: New Number Stamps
November 22, 2013
If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here. All of the previous posts can be found archived here. There is a flickr group for sharing right here. Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day! No need to finish anything or even like it. If you've done some art journaling this week and you've blogged about it, or put it on flickr, please leave a link in the linky list at the end of this post. Thanks!
Because of the way that I art journal, I use number stamps virtually every single day. As you can see below, each journal entry begins with the date -- usually stamped, but sometimes hand drawn or using stickers.
For the past year I've been primarily using a set of plain and simple number stamps that I carved up.
The other day I decided that I wanted something fancier. So I grabbed a fancy font, called "Cast Iron..."
...and I edited it slightly to create a new set of fancy number stamps!
I love how they turned out!
And, of course, I've already used them in my art journal:
Now I simply have to find a box that's the perfect size to hold them. Right now they're rolling around in a container that's a bit too large. Or I suppose I could carve up the whole alphabet and really fill that container...a project for a rainy day!
Here is this week's linky list:
