"Trash" Stamps
December 02, 2013
I've been doing a lot of stamp carving lately and as a consequence, I've got lots of leftover rubber scraps. I hate to waste it, so I make "trash" stamps: random little designs on the leftover scraps.
The first stamp is what I call a "really useful stamp." It's a simple design -- nothing sexy, just a basic -- that you can play with and use in a number of graphic ways.
The second stamp is a repeating stamp. When it's stamped repeatedly it makes a (mostly) seamless design.
The third stamp is the biggest and the most interesting, in my opinion. It's a simple geometric design, but I think it has a lot of impact.
And here's a peek at everything all together:
What do you think? Which stamp is your favorite?
