One Little Word 2014
January 02, 2014
I love Ali Edwards' "One Little Word" concept. Essentially you choose a word that represents what you're interested in pursuing or exploring in the coming year.
Last year I chose "yes."
It was a great choice for me. I said yes to lots of things I never would have in the past. I learned a lot, made some mistakes, grew, changed, and scared myself a few times. But I think I've come out of 2013 happy, healthy, and full of life!
For 2014 I wanted a less passive word. For me, yes, meant saying yes to things that came my way. But it wasn't an active word. So for 2014 I chose "grow."
Grow is a word filled with effort. I need to evolve and change and push myself to do better and go further. I think the notion of growing has been on my mind for a while. I think I'm ready. I hope I'm ready. I know there will be growing pains, but I'm excited for the adventures ahead!
I couldn't help but make a quick little piece of stamped art to hang over my desk to remind me of my word all year long:
How about you? What's your word for 2014?
Thanks for stopping by!
