Art Journal Every Day: On The Road Again

ArtJournalEveryDayLogo-150If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here.  All of the previous posts can be found archived here.  There is a flickr group for sharing right here.  Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day!  No need to finish anything or even like it.  If you've done some art journaling this week and you've blogged about it, or put it on flickr, please leave a link in the linky list at the end of this post.  Thanks!

I've been on the road all this week.  And I've got my art journal with me!  I'm keeping things super simple.  I prepped my art journal pages with some paint so they'd be ready for journaling and grabbed my beloved Scarlet Lime pen, some hand carved stamps, and a black Archival ink pad and hit the road!

My pages aren't masterpieces.  They're simple -- mostly journaling and a bit of stamping.  I tend to either sit on the bed or at the desk in the hotel room and do a little bit of journaling and stamping and maybe some doodling at the end of the day.

All of the painting was done before my trip.  I simply added writing and stamping.

Doodling is easy to add to edge of a page when supplies are limited.  I worked on this large doodle over two nights.

Wall-wm

This is a page that I created at home and I simply added some stamping (in the center of the spread) to finish it off.  The center of the page was my packing list and so I filled in the blank spaces with hand carved stamps.

Do you art journal on the road?  I'd love to know your approach to the process!
