When other people have birthdays I see an opportunity for crafty fun! Is that selfish?
My friend Bethany celebrated her birthday over the weekend and so I made her a little gift.
I decorated the box top...
...with a small gelli print (that's the "Graceful Flower" stencil)...
...and a hand lettered ticket.
I love a decorated box top. It's like a card that's included with the gift.
The earrings...
...are glass beads on a silver wire.
I hammered the wire to create the droplet shapes you see. They're beautiful and fuctional -- those droplets keep the beads on the wire.
Do you use people's birthdays as an excuse to make something? It's a win-win situation, right? You get to have the fun of creating and the recipient gets a lovely handmade gift!
