Art Journal Every Day: Blurring Text in Photoshop

ArtJournalEveryDayLogo-150If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here.  All of the previous posts can be found archived here.  There is a flickr group for sharing right here.  Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day!  No need to finish anything or even like it.  If you've done some art journaling this week and you've blogged about it, or put it on flickr, please leave a link in the linky list at the end of this post.  Thanks!

As I've mentioned many times before, I like to use my art journal as a place to work through complicated thoughts and spill my emotions.  I also like to share my pages online.  In order to maintain my privacy and feel comfortable sharing my pages, I blur much of the text.

Recently I've gotten a few e-mails from people asking how I do the blurring, so I put together a short video how-to.

In the video I'm using Photoshop CS6, but I believe that you can do both of these techniques in Photoshop Elements (Photoshop's cheaper little brother).

I hope this was a helpful tutorial!  Here is this week's linky list:
