Art Journal Every Day: Inspired to Create Junque Journal Covers!
October 03, 2014
If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here. All of the previous posts can be found archived here. There is a flickr group for sharing right here. Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day! No need to finish anything or even like it. If you've done some art journaling this week and you've blogged about it, or put it on flickr, please leave a link in the linky list at the end of this post. Thanks!
So, remember on Tuesday when I said that I could totally see using Jan's technique for an art journal cover? Well, I put my money where my mouth is. Or really, I put my polymer clay where my mouth is. That still sounds odd...but you get what I mean.
I used her technique -- altered slightly because I *had* to use a bit of paint -- to create this fabulous back cover for a brand new hand bound Junque Journal!
I used the Doodle Leaf, Celtic Heart, and Rose Balzer Bits.
For the front cover I used a piece that I made in class with my friend Nat Kalbach. She's a texture fiend!
I love that the covers of this new journal were both inspired by other artists! It makes me excited to use it. I feel like it's already full of fresh inspiration!
Tell me, who or what has inspired you to create recently?
