Art Journal Every Day: Girls, Girls, Girls

ArtJournalEveryDayLogo-150If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here.  All of the previous posts can be found archived here.  There is a flickr group for sharing right here.  Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day!  No need to finish anything or even like it.  If you've done some art journaling this week and you've blogged about it, or put it on flickr, please leave a link in the linky list at the end of this post.  Thanks!

Today I want to share some more daily pages from September.  You'll see that they all have something in common: girls.  No matter how much I try to get away from faces, I simply can't.  I love creating them!  So, I say, why fight it?!  Here are some September girls for you to enjoy:

This young lady is a magazine cut out I embellished with pen and paint.  Behind her is a print from a repeating hand carved stamp.

Gelli printed tags!

More adventures in trying out pens.  Not a winner.

A short page requires a little tag handle to make it easier to flip, doesn't it?

I've been using this "x" stamp in my journal non-stop lately!

Here's the coordinating tag from the other side of the short page.

That's an intentional Gelli Print under the lettering.  Gelli printing isn't just for random patterns.  You can create thoughtful and colorful collages!

A mask is a great way to hide uneven eyes -- in real life or in a drawing!  ;)
