Art Journal Every Day: September 2014 Dailies

ArtJournalEveryDayLogo-150If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here.  All of the previous posts can be found archived here.  There is a flickr group for sharing right here.  Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day!  No need to finish anything or even like it.  If you've done some art journaling this week and you've blogged about it, or put it on flickr, please leave a link in the linky list at the end of this post.  Thanks!

Today I want to share some daily pages from September.  I really don't know what I would do without my art journal.  It's the place where I dump my feelings -- good and bad -- explore my cockamamie creative ideas, try out new art supplies, and get out my artistic energy.  If I don't art journal for a few days, I can feel it.  I get jumpy and cranky.  All work and no play makes Julie a very sad girl.  ;)

My favorite white pen is the water-based Sharpie, and I always use Zing white embossing powder when I want white stamping (as in the number 8 above).

I wanted to create a fashion-y girl with an afro and ended up creating a kind of chic Amish girl in a bonnet.  Oops!

The hand stamp and the ticket stamp were stamped onto white cardstock and then cut out using the "Direct Cut" function on my ScanNCut.

The script writing is actually a portion of a large cut I made using my ScanNCut.  This is the scrapbook page that I designed the original cut for:

NewYork-wmThe text is song lyrics from a Simon & Garfunkel song that I love.
