Guest Post: Stamping Rubber Stamps into Stencils with Deb

#CarveDecember

So, I've figured out my daily art project for December.  It's called...

CarveDecember
What's it all about?  You guessed it, I'm going to be carving a rubber stamp each day in December!  Before you gasp at this Herculean task, remember, stamp carving is actually pretty quick and easy.  If you'd like to play along:

  1. Carve a stamp -- any size, any style, any motif -- each day in December.  (If you miss some days, who cares!)
  2. If you post photos to social media (twitter, instagram, etc.) use the #CarveDecember hashtag so that I can find your beautiful stamps.

That's it!  Not hard.  Just fun!

I'd love it if you'd join me on a stamp carving adventure in December!  I hope to grow as much in my stamp carving during CarveDecember as I did with my lettering during Inktober.

I'll be posting daily to instagram and occasionally to Facebook along the way.  I will, of course, eventually share all the stamps here on the blog.

So, what do you say?  Are you up for the adventure?!

Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. If you've never carved and want to join me, that's awesome!  Here are the supplies you'll need to get started:

I also recommend my online class "Stamp Carving 101" and/or my most excellent stamp carving book, "Carve Stamp Play."
