Art Journal Every Day: Dailies from a New Journal
January 02, 2015
If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here. All of the previous posts can be found archived here. There is a flickr group for sharing right here. Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day! No need to finish anything or even like it. If you've done some art journaling this week and you've blogged about it, or put it on flickr, please leave a link in the linky list at the end of this post. Thanks!
Happy first Friday of 2015! That sounds so super space age-y to me. I cannot believe it's already 2015. Gah!
Today I'm sharing the first few pages from a new art journal I started in November. Take a peek and let me know what you think!
I felt that the black dashes were too dark, so I used a white pen to lighten them up!
The day I started with spread was also the day my new Balzer Bits arrived! I had to try them out!
This is also a new Balzer Bit, enhanced with some neon pen action!
You may recall that I posted a tutorial on creating the foil tape letters you see on this page back in October.
I'm still in love with white embossing powder on a black background!
Most of the emossing on this page was done on stamped designs, but the triangles are a stenciled pattern.
I can't stop trying out my new Balzer Bits! Wheeeee!
There is a lot of "ghosting" on this page. I tried out some of my new Balzer Bits using Adirondack Spray Inks. It doesn't "fix" -- instead it comes up through gesso. So I tested out some Bits and then when I painted over the page with gesso, the ghost images floated up.
Here is this week's linky list:
