Art Journal Every Day: Foil Face
January 30, 2015
If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here. All of the previous posts can be found archived here. There is a flickr group for sharing right here. Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day! No need to finish anything or even like it. If you've done some art journaling this week and you've blogged about it, or put it on flickr, please leave a link in the linky list at the end of this post. Thanks!
Helloooooooooo! I hope you've enjoyed all the foiling tutorials this week. I had a lot of fun making the videos for you! Today for Art Journal Every Day, I decided to take foiling to my art journal. Here's the page I made:
I used the tape pieces from Thursday's tutorial in her face.
Also, I used a fabric paint to do the shadow shading and I discovered that the foil stuck to that paint. So I rubbed it all over the blue paint.
The background was done using Monday's Rubber Cement technique and the 12x12 version of my new "Rug" stencil. I did find that the Rubber Cement didn't bond as well with a painted surface. Some of it peeled off of my background when I pulled the transfer foil sheet away. That didn't happen with my plain paper tag.
How are you planning to use foiling in your art journal?
Here is this week's linky list:
