The Weekend Five: A Visit to HSN

Theme-Simple

This week I flew down to Tampa to film several spots on HSN (Home Shopping Network).  Here are five photos from my adventure!

This is Myriah.  She's the Product Manager for the ScanNCut and she's awesome!  In the photo above she's prepping the projects between segments.  After each time we film we need to reset the projects so that we can do our demos again!

Greenroom-wm

Hanging in the Green Room (a room with a closet, a makeup mirror, couches, snacks, etc.) with my watercolors.  I must always have a crafty project (and a Diet Coke)!  Notice my hoodie sweatshirt.  The HSN studios are freezing!  So I always bundle up.

Beach-wm

With a few hours to kill between segments, Myriah and I headed to the beach.  For two East Coast girls it's pretty amazing to be sitting outside at the beach in January!!

Onset-wm

And now here I am on set -- fake eyelashes, slathered in makeup, and smushed into Spanx -- but having an absolutely fabulous time!

HSN is the most exhilarating and frightening experience.  It's live.  That's scary.  There's an IFB in your ear where you can hear the producer's instructions.  You're talking to the host.  You're working on your project.  You're trying to watch the lights on the cameras to know which one to look into (3 choices).  You're watching the clock to see how much time is left.  You're answering questions.  What a rush!

Thanks for stopping by!
