Art Journal Every Day: February 2015 Pages

ArtJournalEveryDayLogo-150If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here.  All of the previous posts can be found archived here.  There is a flickr group for sharing right here.  Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day!  No need to finish anything or even like it.  If you've done some art journaling this week and you've blogged about it, or put it on flickr, please leave a link in the linky list at the end of this post.  Thanks!

Happy Friday everyone!  Today I'm sharing some pages from my every day art journal.  Some days I spend ten minutes simply jotting down some journaling.  (Read this article about the power of writing down a single sentence about each day.) Other days I spend an hour or more doodling in my journal.  Some days I simply glue something in.  My art journaling habit fits the amount of time I have to give each day.  I love that!

This page features my new "Many Faces" stencil.

There are a lot of leftovers on this spread.  I love having a place to stash little bits and pieces.  Nothing is wasted when you have an art journal!  Above you can see a rejected cut out.  It's wood veneer that I cut with the ScanNCut.  Below you can see some of the sample tags I created for my series of foiling videos.

This page features a photo I pulled from a magazine.  It vaguely reminded me of Sargent's Portrait of Madame X.  Vaguely.

I used song lyrics here to commemorate Valentine's Day.

These colorful dashed papers are leftovers from the Heart Boxes I made.  See, nothing is wasted!

Playing with my new Balzer Designs stamps and a white ink pad!

I love this girl.  She was just a little doodle, but she makes me want to create more wonky-eyed ladies!

I used a gold paint pen to color in the area behind my illustration.  I love using paint pens in my art journal.  They're opaque and shiny and yet they don't make your pages stick together!

Who doesn't like deli paper with a little bit of stamp action?!  A nice little page decoration.
