Creating a Seamless Repeating Pattern with Your Stencils

Today I thought I'd share a basic but most excellent and useful technique: how to create a seamless repeating pattern with your stencils!  Watch the video for the how-to:

This technique is how I created the background for this scrapbook page:

I used the 12x12 version of the Tiled Flower stencil and turned it at a 45-degree angle and used several colors of paint on top of yellow cardstock.

This is the same technique I used to get the 12x12 version of the Rug stencil to span both journal pages in this spread:

I used rubber cement and foil to create the pattern.
