Art Journal Every Day: March into April 2015

ArtJournalEveryDayLogo-150If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here.  All of the previous posts can be found archived here.  There is a flickr group for sharing right here.  Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day!  No need to finish anything or even like it.  If you've done some art journaling this week and you've blogged about it, or put it on flickr, please leave a link in the linky list at the end of this post.  Thanks!

Today I've got some daily pages to share with you.  These pages are from the end of March and the beginning of April.  As you'll see

First up, I'm asking one of the great philosophical questions: What if Soy Milk is just regular milk introducing itself in Spanish?

It's a question I saw online and it made me giggle, so I put it into my art journal.  I stamped it and then embellished with gel pens!

This is a Picasso painting that got cut off.  So, I added my own top half of the face!  I think Picasso would approve, don't you?

As you know, I love using leftovers in my journal.  You can see some old scrapbooking stickers and a leftover tag from #CarveDecember.

2-TAPEtransferpage-wm

This page has an inserted translucent page.  On the right, that's a ginormous tape transfer!

You can see the deckled edge of the tape where I pulled it off the roll.

I'm not going to say "never," but I rarely stamp in my journal in a color other than black.  I just love the way the strong black image looks!

Here's what the flipped transfer page looks like:

I did some lettering based on a quote I found online.

I collect cool quotes to my Pinterest Quote board.  That way I can always find an inspiring statement when I need it!

3-ItsOnMyMind-wm

The image on the left and the lettering are both made from garbage.  It's the tape I used to clean my Gelli Plate!

Looks super crackled and cool!
