Art Journal Every Day: The Middle of June
July 24, 2015
If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here. All of the previous posts can be found archived here. There is a flickr group for sharing right here. Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day! No need to finish anything or even like it. If you've done some art journaling this week and you've blogged about it, or put it on flickr, please leave a link in the linky list at the end of this post. Thanks!
Happy Friday arty people! I hope you've had a fantastic week filled with art making, art peeping, and art inspiration! Here's a little more eye candy to end your week. I hope you enjoy these pages from my daily journal!
I use my art journal as a place to work things out. My lettering is often a reflection of whatever I'm noodling on.
Those Dylusions sprays really turn everything colors. You can see that my white pen looks more light blue than white.
Recognize anything? The stamped scrap is from Carve December and the journaling card is part of the set I gave away last month!
Looking for a way to use up your stash of washi tape? It fills empty space in your journal quickly and attractively!
These flowers evolved slowly over many days. Every time I sat down with my art journal I kept adding texture and doodles and stamps!
That's a little chipboard flower at the center.
These are some of the little tags that I used to try out my hand carved stamps. I love to glue them into my journal.
I don't often mark out world events in my art journal, but sometimes I just have to make a note of something monumental.
The uneven pages in my Junque Journal make me happy!
I was cleaning out my stash of stuff and I came across these crepe paper ruffles. I had some extra space on the right side of this spread, so I thought I'd try gluing them in. They were a bit too plain, so I splashed some gold paint along the edges and across them. Definitely something that looks cooler in person. You can really see the texture and dimension.
