Three Part Layered Tree Stamp

One of the first things that made me fall in love with stamp carving was this technique for creating multi-colored prints.  (You can find the whole technique in great detail in my book, Carve Stamp Play.)

Having recently carved up most of my garbage rubber, I gave myself permission to crack open a nice new block of Speedy Carve.  (My blocks are 2"x3".)  And then I sat and carved and carved and carved until I had a giant pile of rubber.

When it came to printing, I wanted each part to really stand out, so I tried to use some highly contrasting colors.  I also did a little bit of multi colored printing on several of the blocks for even more impact.

I'm really pleased with how the prints came out!

Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. My Mom says there's a hidden face in one of the blocks.
