Art Journal Every Day: A Black & White Page!

Every now and then I'll paint a page in my journal black.  More often than not, that black page ends up being one of my favorites.  Funny for a girl who loves color.  But as you know, I've been struggling to find my art journal mojo and so a black page seemed like a good idea to shake things up!  This page turned out better than I imagined when I started.  Love it when that happens!  Take a peek:

The face was created using a technique I share in my online class, Getting Started with Neocolor II.

Lots of hand carved stamps and white embossing powder.  By the way, this is what it looks like when you accidentally touch the embossing powder before it has cooled down and hardened:
