If you listened to the podcast last week or follow me on instagram, you know that I spent seven days in Nashville for Brother's B2B, or Back to Business Conference. This is an annual conference that Brother hosts for its dealers. It's an event that's all about educating the dealers on the new products and accessories so that they can do the best job possible selling them. I attended the event for the first time last year and you can read all about my experiences here.
The conference opened with a big reveal of all the new products!
Lots of speeches, some dancing, a fashion show, and plenty of video -- including one of me! It was a surreal and wonderful experience to see myself up there. I feel very proud to be a part of ScanNCut's success!
The conference was held in a hotel with some seriously bright patterned carpets...
...great sunset views...
...and way too much air conditioning. It was crazy humid and in the high 90s in Nashveille the entire time and this is what I wore:
(Yes, I do bring my slippers with me when I travel. Hotel rooms are cold!) Having frozen last year, I got clever and packed plenty of sweaters and pants! It was the right choice. The day I wore the skirt I was cold.
This year's conference was a little bit different for me because I taught a class. I taught the same hour-and-a-half class ten times. It was amazing to learn how quickly you can fine tune a class when you teach it that many times. By class number ten, I had it down pat! Here's a peek at the classroom:
Before the conference started we decorated the walls with lots of ScanNCut projects! Here are some projects created by May Flaum:
And here is an giant applique quilt by Anna Aldmon:
She cut all the applique bits with the ScanNCut!
I felt like a total rockstar all conference long because people kept asking to have their photo taken with me!
Plus they were handing out postcards with my face on it!
The conference closed with a big party on the General Jackson -- a steamship.
It was a lovely way to end the conference!
Before I go, I have to pass on some good news: You can win a FREE ScanNCut this week! Brother is giving away 100 (that's right: one hundred) ScanNCut machines this week. Ten machines will be given away every day for ten days! Click HERE for more info.
Thanks for stopping by!
P.S. I am going to be teaching a ScanNCut class in-person at Sew On Sew Forth in Buffalo, NY on Friday, September 18 from 10am-4pm. The class is just $89 and includes lunch! You don't need a ScanNCut in order to participate!
