Art Journal Every Day: August 2015 Daily Pages
October 23, 2015
If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here. All of the previous posts can be found archived here. There is a flickr group for sharing right here. Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day! No need to finish anything or even like it. If you've done some art journaling this week and you've blogged about it, or put it on flickr, please leave a link in the linky list at the end of this post. Thanks!
How about a peek at some daily pages? These are from August. I hope you'll enjoy taking a look and maybe find some inspiration for your own art journal or scrapbook layouts or paintings or whatever you create, in the pages of my art journal!
The image of the woman is from a fashion magazine. I love using magazine images in my art journal! They almost always spark my imagination!
I found some old rub-ons in my stash and I used them here for the days-of-the-week.
The glittery word was cut with my ScanNCut and then backed with glitter. You can see in the photo above how the glitter is actually recessed into the cutout.
This spread features a short right side that reveals the page underneath. Lately I've been enjoying cutting down my pages so that they're not all the same size. This is an easy trick you can do in any journal!
This page features a face that probably can't be called "pretty" but it's definitely interesting and arresting -- exactly the kinds of faces I like to create!
The lettering for the song lyric above was stamped and then I added a border and a shadow with gel pens. I've been using a ton of pens and markers in my art journal lately rather than paint.
This face is courtesy of the Balzer Designs "Many Faces" stencil.
The flowers were created using Permapaque markers.
