Rebekah Meier here!  I was so excited when my friend Julie Fei-Fan Balzer, asked me to guest post here on her blog.  For this project I will  show you how to create a quick and easy base for ATC's (Artist Trading Cards).

Materials:

Starting out, cut tissue paper to the same size as EZ Steam II.  Remove one side of release paper from EZ Steam II, revealing a sticky side.  Place tissue paper onto this sticky side.  Press with hands.  At one corner, peel off the tissue from the release sheet.  Place sticky side of tissue onto watercolor paper.  Cover tissue with parchment paper, and press with iron, permanently attaching tissue to paper.

Paint tissue with thin bodied acrylic paint.  I used Dye-na-Flow, but you could easily use fluid acrylics or acrylic ink.  You want to layer paint, mixing colors over each other, drying between applications.  Let tissue dry completely.

Use stencils and stamps to further decorate.

Using a paper trimmer or rotary cutter, ruler, and mat, cut nine 2 1/" x 3 1/2" rectangles.  You can leave them alone, or further decorate them with more paint, stencils, stamps etc.   This is what my worktable looks like when I am done "adding" more decoration to my ATC's!
