We have two guests on the podcast today!
Nathalie Kalbach was born in Germany and lived most of her adult life in Hamburg before moving to the United States in September 2013. She worked as a paralegal for seventeen years and might have remained in the wrong profession had she not discovered mixed media painting in 2004.
Nathalie’s work been published in several craft and hobby magazines as well as mixed-media books.
She teaches at many retail events and art retreats, as well as at trade shows and since early 2015 has taught mixed-media workhops at Pratt Institute for the School of Continuing and Professional Studies. She is the founder and sole organizer of the annual Creative JumpStart Summit (CJS) now in its 5th year.
Nathalie’s artwork is licensed through StencilGirl Products (stencils) and Stampendous (rubber stamp, foam stamp and template sets) and as a prior ambassador for Liquitex, her work has been featured on the packaging for Liquitex acrylic paint sets.

And then there's me!
I design rubber stamps for Impression Obsession...
...and foam stamps for Art Foamies.
On the podcast we discuss how we each started designing stamps, both the why and the how of how we each design stamps, the experience of seeing work that people make with our stamps, the appeal of stamping in general, and we give some stamping tips too! Be sure to add your own stamping tips in the comments section! Oh, and don't forget about Rachel's offer. She's looking for stamp designers. All of the details on the gig are in the podcast!
If you're interested in getting to hang out with all three of us in person, check out our fabulous Mixed Media art journaling class outside of Sydney, Australia in April!
Be sure to leave us your comments and questions! We'd love to add your voice to the conversation!
