Two Personalized Birthday Gifts

In my opinion, the best part of a handmade gift is being able to really personalize it to fit the recipient.  With that in mind, I recently made two personalized gifts that I wanted to share with you.

My assistant, Suzanne is a big fan of owls and goes by the handle, "concerned owl" online.  For her birthday I made her a personalized apron!  What crafty person can't use another apron?!

I used the same owl from the apron to make the matching gift tag:

I rolled the apron up and used the apron strings to secure it and attach the tag -- no wrapping paper required!

Two notes about the glitter: (1) It is everywhere in my house now and (2) I used black glitter on a turquoise tag and the combination became the most beautiful bottle green.

My friend Jenn got a personalized tote bag for her birthday.  Literally.  One side has her name:

For the other side, I took  a saying that I saw online and altered it a bit to fit her better.
