Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens
July 11, 2016
I continue to find photos from my Australia trip that I meant to share, but somehow didn't. One of the coolest places that I visited in Australia was the Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens. It reminded me a lot of Central Park in New York City -- beautiful green park in the middle of a big vibrant city; an oasis of sorts. And yet, at the same time, it was so foreign -- so many unusual-to-me plants and plenty of giant spiders! Take a peek:
I'm pretty sure you can feel the heat in this last photo! It was pretty darn warm.
I thought I'd share these photos for two reasons:
- There's lots of pretty stuff to look at.
- There's lots of stuff to draw.
Most of the time I draw the flowers and leaves and trees that I see around me. I think a lot of people are like that. This post is full of flora that I don't have here in New England. I'm excited to add some new shapes to my drawing repertoire.
How about you? What interests you about these images?
Thanks for stopping by!
