ScanNCut Project: Stitched & Fused Pencil Cases

TitleCard-wm

I am super duper excited about these pencil cases!  This is the first one I made:

I used some painted fabric that I had laying around and embellished it with some fabric text I cut out using the ScanNCut.  My stitching wasn't quite right.  And the dimensions weren't right.

So, I tried again.

Once again, I used some leftover painted fabric.  This one was the right size, but it was floppy.

So, I tried again.

Two layers of outside fabric was the key to making it stiffer!  But I messed up with the fusible web and had sticky bits everywhere.  I added some gold foil to the sticky bits.  It's a nice combo functional/decorative addition, but I knew I could do better.

So, I tried again.

I guess fourth time is the charm!  Learn from my mistakes and watch the video for the way to create a fabulous pencil case:

I hope you'll give this project a try!  It's surprisingly quick (even with all the mistakes I made).

Thanks for stopping by!
