Golden Artist Educator Training: #goldenGAEP2016
November 01, 2016
In October, I traveled to New Orleans for a week of Golden Artist Educator Training.
What is that?
Golden Paints has a training program for artists who teach. It's a week that covers Golden products and suggested uses for each of the products. It was a lot of fun and I came home with a suitcase full of paint and a head full of ideas.
The classroom was well set up with lots of space to work and they rotated seats each day so that we had the opportunity to meet new people each day. Take a peek:
As you can see from the photos, drying space was at a premium -- under the tables, on the tables, everywhere! We even had to dry one large item in our hotel rooms and I accidentally stepped on mine! Ooops! However, I found out the next day that I wasn't the only one.
We worked on a number of technical projects -- to help us really understand the products:
This was something I found particularly useful for new-to-me products (btw: the marker is not a Golden product, but was filled with Golden High Flow Paint):
We also worked on a number of painting and printing techniques using Golden products:
All of this was to create informational boards that we can take around when we teach:
If you'd like to see a little bit more about my time in New Orleans, you can check out last week's vlog.
Thanks for stopping by!
